July 2014

 Some of our mid-summer adventures:

Hangin' at the splash pad with Grandma Cathi and Gigi.

Here's Ava partaking of her requested nightly ritual of getting her picture taken in the sunset.

The 4th of July at Uncle Mel's house

At Cherry Hill with cousin Gigi
My mama after her knee replacement surgery on July 2nd.  It's been an adventurous summer for her, to say the least.

Abbey hangin' at a park in Orem with Ava, Eric, and her Uncle Rick and his family.

Uncle Rick with his newborn boy, Jeffrey.

Ava, cousin Porter, and Abbey

At Boondocks with Eric's family

More 4th of July celebrations with the Zimmermans

At the park with cousin Porter

Because I can't resist these cute portrait opportunities...

In Park City at the annual Allen reunion.  Grandma Joann and the girls.

Me taking pride in the fact that at times, I do, in fact, spend time making yummy "gourmet" recipes

A cute portrait of Gigi with her cousin Maelee...Two cute Allen girls

Such a cute, candid picture of Abbey and Andi up to their usual sister fun.

At one of my favorite annual traditions:  The Farmington Festival Days Parade.
Chloe, Ava, and Andi

Grandma Joann, Grandma Cathi, and Grandpa Ron with our three girls.
Love these shots.

More fun at the Farmington parade.  Grandpa Jim was staying with us that weekend so he got to join in on the fun.

The girls had two weeks' worth of swimming lessons during July.
Here's Ava with her class.
She was quite happy and very exuberant during her lessons this year.

Andi with her class

We got to go to Cherry Hill with my dear friend Natalie and her darling baby girls, Addi and Kate.

Abbey at swimming.  She's a pro!  She acted very confident in her swimming class this year.  Fun to see.

Ava with her swim class.

At the MoTab Pioneer Days concert with Grandpa Luke, my sister Lori, and her daughter Lydia

The day of Abbey's baptism.  Our girls look so cute in this picture, I think.

Another picture of Cherry Hill with my friend Natalie.  Such a fun day and such a good friend.  Been so grateful for her over the years.

MoTab concert fun

My girl in her silly-sister glory.

Love this pic, love these girls.

Eric went on a week-long scout trip with the Young Men in our ward.  This and more coming show a good idea of the scenery he partook of her during his excursion.

I got to watch my sister Leslie's kids a few times this summer.  One morning we were all at the splash pad together and here's my nephew Luke being such a good big brother to his Bowen.

Eric's newfound interest...fishing!

Eric havin' a little fun with some of the young men.

At the Real Salt Lake soccer game (thanks for the tickets, Uncle Isaac!)

More swimming lesson fun

Look at that girl workin' hard

More scout trip pics...

My sister-in-law, Bethany, had her baby girl, Elizabeth, on July 24th.  Her second girl and my third Allen niece.  Look at this perfect face.  Loved visiting this newborn at the hospital with my girls.

I had to capture this image.  It's been a constant scene on our deck this summer.  Evidence of the fun we've had outside this summer.

Going out to eat with Eric upon his return from his scout trip.
Pretty cute smile right there.

At Cherry Hill with Abbey's good friend, McKenzie.

Ava and Abbey hangin' with their new cousin, Lizzie.

This girl is a newfound talent in the Klein-Allen bike scene:  She graduated to two wheels and she's doin' great!  So proud of this woman.

I thought the sunglasses added a nice touch.

Grandma Joann and Grandma Cathi came to visit one afternoon (along with Bethany and her girls.)  Here's Andi showing them some pictures.  Precious picture right here.

I think someone's gonna' be a good big sister....again.

Back to the big fireworks show on the 4th of July at Mel's place.  Jim and Mel firin' it up.

Scout trip scenery

Abbey and Ava with cousin Grace at the Zimmermans for some firework celebrations.

Ava and her daddy in the pool at the Allen Park City event.

Abbey and Eric havin' fun on the tracks at Boondocks

Andi and Eric goin' for a ride.  Always good seeing them having fun together.

Uncle Isaac playin with Andi and Abbey in the pool.  Love it.

Grandma Joann with some cute granddaughters.

Finally...our basement is finished with the completion of the island countertop down there.  Grateful to have it done.

More Park City pictures with the Allens.
From left to right:  Hayley (Aunt DeeDee's daughter), Bethie, Gigi, Isaac, Maelee, and Daniel....Michael's siblings.

All the Luke cousins lined up for the Farmington parade.

If you look closely you can see Abbey floating on her back.  Workin' hard for her teacher at her lessons.

Andi coming up out of the water.  (Profile)

Abbey swimmin' away

Andi's swim class.  She's the one with the Ariel swimsuit on.

A little rock climbin' at Eric's scout camp
