Disneyland: February 2014

We took the girls to Disneyland during the first part of February.  We'd been planning a trip there for a while, and we were excited for the fun!
I was worried if we waited too long to go that the girls wouldn't be as excited about it as they would be at the ages they are now.
My hopes for them to get "into it" were realized and they had a lot fun.

On the plane ride there.

Waiting for Eric's missing bags to show up at the airport.  Fun little detour.

The first night there:  swimming, of course!

Andi takin' a load off in the hot tub.

Abbey was very happy to get in the water.
She may have been happy to be in the pool the whole trip, actually!  She has decided that swimming is her "thing."  She's developed some great sea legs.

This gives you a good idea what Eric and the girls did each morning while I stayed up in the room for extra z's and time to get ready.  Continental breakfast, baby.
Dad was in charge...You may be able to tell.:)

Our first morning at Disneyland--the Sleeping Beauty castle.  We of course made sure they were equipped with their princess dresses.
Eric doctored this picture up a bit....As you look at the pics down below, you can see some of the cool stuff he did with our trip pictures.

These pictures are out of order.  Nevertheless, here is a picture of the girls at the airport on the way home.

This was the "World of Color" show we saw in the California Adventures park.  It was an amazing show.  We wished we could see a little better, though.  Hard to see over everyone's heads.  Eric climbed out of our spot to the top of the stairs so he could get this shot.

Trying to see the show.

The girls got their share of waiting and practicing patience.

Waiting for the "World of Color" show to start.

In Adventureland.

Andi doing her "hi-ho" pirate dance right outside her favorite ride--The Pirates of the Caribbean.

After Andi and I went on the Ariel ride, we had to drag Eric and the girls on it too.

Part of the Ariel ride.  Yes, I think I was just as excited for this ride as Andi was.

Andi and Abbey watching a parade in the California Adventures park.

This was our best family shot.  In Cars Land, as you can see.

Right when we got out of the Cars ride.

Cars ride--gettin' ready!

My favorite...the Cars ride.

Abbey and Eric got to have quite a bit of time together while at Disneyland.  I took the younger girls on some of the "little kid" stuff while they ventured out on some of the bigger rides.

Abbey and Minnie!

Eric and Abbey went on the "Soarin'" ride.  One of the rides I now wish I would have gone on.

Cool shot.  Dad and daughter.

The Buzz Lightyear ride.

In Tomorrowland with Ands.

Look at this darling picture on the Buzz Lightyear ride! Eric and Abbey are so cute.

This picture is a prize possession of mine.  I put in a lot of good time and effort to make this happen.  Elsa and Anna from Frozen....The girls finally got to meet them!

If you look on the roof you can see Olaf from "Frozen."  There was a little "Frozen" cottage that housed Elsa and Anna.  Here we are standing outside of it.

We finally got to the end of the endless line to see Elsa and Anna!

How we spent our time waiting in line. :)

Ava taking lots of pictures with her camera.

Such a cute shot.

The girls got to meet Phineas and Ferb and do a dance with them.

Andi dancing away.

Abbey and Andi dancing with the Phineas and Ferb characters.

Ariel and Eric, of course!

In Bug's Land

Love this picture.  Taken right outside the Little Mermaid ride.  She and I were waiting in excitement as we stood in line.

They had some cute princess plays in Fantasyland that the girls loved.  A "Beauty and the Beast" play and a "Tangled" play as well.

Looks like this was taken in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.  Abbey and Andi LOVED this ride.

Pirates of the Caribbean...for the fourth time.  :)

On the shuttle that took us to and from the hotel.

Eric got some cool shots of the fireworks on Sunday night.

My cute baby dolls.

Aves and I waiting for the fireworks to start.  A typical Ava expression.  :)

Checkin' out the loot in the gift shop.

Gettin' a little grub.  One of the few times we ate in the park.

Yeah, three days in a row of Disneyland will do this to ya'.

Winnie the Pooh ride. "Pooh Corner."
I never heard the end of it when it came to the title of that ride.

Waiting for the jungle boat ride.  A very very very long line.

My personal favorite picture of the whole trip.

There she is...Cindy-rella.

My favorite princess...Sleeping Beauty

Ariel Ariel Ariel!!!

Abbey finally got to meet her Belle.  Look at that cute pose.

On a boat ride looking at Ariel's castle.

The teacups.  They were my FAVE when I was little.  This time around, not so much.

On the teacups!

Ava's VERY favorite...The Carousel

Right outside Sleeping Beauty's castle.

Overall, I'd say the trip was a success.  Eric and I have rarely experienced a time in our marriage when we haven't had a lot of drama from the Little Girl Department.  This time around, though, we were blessed with quite a peaceful time.  I was so happy to see the girls experience the fun of being there.  I can't say I'm a big amusement park person, but it is true that it's a totally different experience when you take your kids.  It was like Christmas.  So glad we went!
Next stop...Disneyworld!  Ha ha....
