It's been a good and busy three weeks.
Here are pictures of our latest adventures:
Memorial Day Weekend:
Eric took the girls camping in the Uintahs:
I stayed home with Millie:
She has developed a terrible habit of pulling her hair out as a soothing mechanism when she sleeps at night. I know, it's weird. And a growing problem. For the record, these ponytails did not work. They were taken out quickly--
More camping shots:
More of me and Millie at home, enjoying some one-on-one:
Biking on the Lagoon trail on Memorial Day. Taking a break in the shade:
Taking Abbey for a manicure because she stopped biting (and eating!) her nails! So proud of her:
Love the beautiful graves on Memorial Day:
Trying a new tactic to prevent the hair pulling--a jacket that covers her hands:
A much loved package from G & G Allen:
Ava's First Grade End-of-Year Class Program:
It was all about the brain and how amazing it is!

A lot of my pics were out of focus because I couldn't find my iPhone so I had to use an old camera.
First day out of school = Cherry Hill!:

The girls' awesome report cards--so proud of them!:
Ava's, straight A's and at a great reading level:
Andi's--straight A's and right on track for reading! Her hard work has paid off and she's made so much progress!
Abbey's--straight A's and an incredible report from her teacher:

Abbey's 10th Birthday!:
The wonderful picture and card Eric created for Abbey for her birthday:
For her last piano recital, she got to play on a yellow piano. Eric got a picture of her with that piano and then created a background, complete with Abbey's favorite creatures: owls!
Visiting my good friend Natalie and her newest baby:
Enjoying some of her birthday presents--making "string art" projects (all by herself, might I add):
More Cherry Hill fun with my ladies:
This baby loves the water!
new goggles!

Abbey wanted a homemade "cinnamon roll cake" for her birthday. It did not disappoint!
Even Dad joined in the birthday party fun with all the girls.
Father's Day:
Millie "made" Eric a tie in nursery. Her face should tell you how she feels about nursery.
Spending time with Grandpa Luke on Father's Day:
Eric's work party at Boondocks:
As you can see, it's been busy and crazier than our already normal craziness.
Summertime is here!
Before I end, I often like to add in a few of my own thoughts, quotes, or things I'd like to share.
The past while I've come across a poet named Mary Oliver, whom, as it turns out, I love. One poem that resonated so much with me is as follows:
I love this poem so much I could cry about it. I think she may have used me as inspiration.
Sums up much of my experiences the past six years or so. Beautiful, beautiful poem.
One last thought I'd like to share is something that's been on my mind quite a bit. I listened to a book last week about learning to bring your frustrations to the Lord and your love to your family. As the author talked about bringing this love to those around you, it reminded me once again that this journey I'm on is teaching me so very much about love, in all its different shapes and forms.
Some true-isms about love I'm constantly discovering (according to me, so take it for what it's worth):
1) Love is most often a verb.
2) Love is the greatest motivator.
3) Life can end, love can last.
That's all for now.
